Energy and climate policy research is one of focuses of IFS. We assist the creation of green and low carbon development plans by working with carbon policy databases and system analytical tools to produce actionable suggestions. Our research in this area covers international climate governance, clean energy industry policies and practices, regional low carbon development, carbon pricing and other energy and environment related economic policies.
Regional green-finance planning
To build a local green-finance system that satisfies the special planning requirements for regional development to help regions develop differentiated green finance.
Industrial low-carbon transition
To track key industries’ carbon-emission reduction potential, challenges and opportunities after China pledged to “reach peak carbon-dioxide emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060”.
