On June 14, 2017, during the 176th executive meeting of the State Council, it was decided to establish green finance reform and innovation pilot zones in selected provinces (Zhejiang, Guangdong, Xinjiang, Guizhou, and Jiangxi), each with its own focus and characteristics. The People's Bank of China and six other ministries jointly issued the overall plan for the construction of these pilot zones, aiming to explore replicable and scalable green financial systems and mechanisms in a "bottom-up" manner. The practice of the green finance reform and innovation pilot zones has proven that by effectively allocating resources, green finance has facilitated the green transformation of the economy and society.
To study and summarize the development experience of local pilot projects, the IFS has established a dedicated section called " Chinese Green-Finance Reform Pilot Zone ". This section is divided into seven modules, which comprehensively showcase the practical cases, forward-looking practices, and latest updates of green finance reform pilot zones in different regions.
