On 11 December 2020, the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS), the Huzhou Municipal People’s Government, and Bank of China (BOC) held a ceremony for the signing of the “Collaboration Agreement for the Establishment of the Framework for ‘Two Mountain Green Finance College’” at the Zhejiang Provincial Great Hall of the People. Zhu Congjiu, vice governor of Zhejiang Province; Liu Liange, chairman of the board and secretary of the party committee of BOC; Lin Jingzhen, executive vice president of BOC; and Ma Jun, director of the Green Finance Committee of China Society for Finance and Banking, attended the ceremony. The collaboration agreement was signed by Wu Dengfen, member of the Zhejiang Provincial Standing Committee of the Party Committee; Duan Zhonghui, general manager of Credit Extension Management Department of BOC; and Hu Min, director of IFS.

The Two Mountain Green Finance College is committed to building a platform for the development of international green finance capacity that will serve the world, so as to satisfy the growing demand of China and the world for the development of green finance capacity. The platform will extensively communicate the concepts, methods and instruments for the development of green and sustainable finance. As landing project for the involved state-owned financial institutions, the College will encourage the replication and popularisation of the “Huzhou experience” in green finance reform and innovation in China.
