The Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) evaluation system for green financing entities at the Green Finance Reform and Innovation Pilot Zone in Huzhou City of Zhejiang province is now live. To enhance user efficiency and its service features, the Finance Work Office of Huzhou Municipal People’s Government held a training session for the evaluation system for green financing entities on 15 April 2021.

The training covered the applications of the “Green Loan Channel” platform, certification inquiry, data-sharing platforms, and other features; ESG evaluation system and methodology training for distinctive financing entities; and issues concerning the use of the “Green Loan Channel” platform. It was attended by the persons in charge of the green financing and operations-management departments at banking institutions in Huzhou. As the developer of the ESG evaluation system for distinctive financing entities, the ESG Investment Research Center at the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS) carried out the training for the ESG evaluation system and methodology for distinctive financing entities.
