The 8th Meeting of the UK-China Green Finance Taskforce was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, on 19 October 2026, bringing together nearly 70 representatives from government, financial institutions, service providers, and academia from China and the UK. Participants exchanged views on key areas of sustainable finance, including sustainability-related disclosures, transition finance, biodiversity investment, and carbon markets, reviewed progress over the past year, and explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote financial innovation, and mobilise capital for the green transition.
