On 20 October 2026, the Green Investment Principles for the Belt and Road (GIP) 2026 Annual Conference was successfully held in Beijing as a parallel forum of the 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference. Under the theme “Integrating Green and Digital Finance to Build a New Ecosystem for Green Development along the Belt and Road,” the event brought together over 200 representatives from financial regulators, financial institutions, international organizations, and industry associations across more than 10 countries and regions. Discussions focused on leveraging green finance to support low-carbon transitions, harnessing digital technologies to improve cross-border information connectivity, and strengthening international cooperation on sustainable investment. The conference also saw the release of GIP’s 2026 Annual Progress Report, a collection of case studies on cross-border green RMB business and products, and an upgraded Global Green Capital Liquidity Guidance Engine, highlighting continued efforts to mobilize capital for green development.
