On the afternoon of 27 October 2026, the Roundtable on Aligning Green Building Materials Projects with the Transition Finance Support Catalogue was jointly hosted by the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS) and the Bank of Communications Beijing Branch at the China Academy of Building Research.

The meeting brought together representatives from relevant government departments, research institutions, industry associations, universities, financial institutions and enterprises, including Tsinghua University, Huaxia Bank, JD.com and the Building Research Establishment (BRE). Participants exchanged views on the development of a project database for green building materials under transition finance, project eligibility and assessment criteria, monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems, and innovation in transition finance products.

The discussions aimed to explore practical pathways for mobilising financial resources to support the green transition of the building materials sector.
